We are delighted to announce this series of dialogues, a two-part event between young people and select influencers.
The Courtyard Dialogues are an exercise in horizontal conversation that bring together four distinct sides to a particular theme. As the name suggests, the evenings are not discussions or debates, but dialogues – open and respectful exchanges between people of contrasting views.
The fifth perspective in the dialogues is yours. We welcome you to a stimulating and inspirational set of events on April 29 and May 6, 7:30pm to 9pm at the exquisitely restored courtyard within Palazzo De La Salle in Valletta.
April 29 – Is there a ‘why’ to life?
The first theme centres on pursuit of meaning in life. Offering their views are:
Gianluca Bezzina – local entertainer & medic
Abigail Borg – extreme athlete & traveller
Chris Ebejer – internationally acclaimed artist
Mons. Paul Cremona – archbishop of Malta
May 6 – Who needs the church?
The second theme questions the role of the church in contemporary society. The perspectives will be presented by:
Dr Roberta Lepre – legal consultant & director of Victim Support Malta
Christopher Vella – community organizer & president of Drachma LGBTI space
Dr Clive Zammit – researcher & lecturer at the University of Malta
Mons. Charles Scicluna – auxilliary bishop of Malta
Entrance is free but space is limited, please book your seat here. Light drinks will be served afterwards.
